Rockmelt is a nice addition to Chrome; not totally necessary .

After using Rockmelt for about 2 months I have to say I have enjoyed it's features. The 'Friend Edge' is a nice chat/IM supplement and the 'RSS Feed Edge' is quite nice for viewing and sorting my various feeds. When I first started using these features I tried doing all of my social media navigating via the 'RSS Edge'. I have to say it does work, yet over time I have found it easier to navigate sites like Facebook and Linkedn via their native homepages. As for Twitter and my other various feeds such as ESPN, blog feeds, and sites like Reddit and Digg the 'RSS Edge' is actually quite convenient and useful.
